Coverage Analysis
- Perform a comprehensive study of the market, identify the coverage area and coverage holes, and recommend solutions.

Network Design
- Help you deliver a high quality network system design on where to place sites based on marketing strategies, traffic projections, market penetration, calling pattern, busy hour, etc. We can evaluate and select site candidates on a detailed map and issue search rings to site acquisition people.
Back To RF Design Services
Capacity Analysis
- Analyze different factors that influence capacity such as traffic projections, busy hour projections, calling patterns, grade of service, user mobility, terrain, sectorization, etc. to better understand the network’s behavior.
Back To RF Design Services
Interference Analysis
- The process requires monitoring, researching and studying the radio frequency spectrum, identifying the transmitters in the area, calculating the interference in the market and provides actions to eliminate or reduce the interference. Interference can be adjacent channel, co-channel, inter-modulation products, etc.

Frequency Planning and Coordination
- Efficiently plan frequency allocation thereby allowing better operational performance while minimizing investments and enhancing both network quality and capacity, either between neighbors or systems.
Back To RF Design Services
Project Management
- Helps organizations realize project efficiency and strategic direction with integrated applications from cell site design, site acquisition, and construction to site turn-up.
Back To RF Design Services
Measurement Integration
- We can tune propagation models by exporting, processing and manipulating the gathered drive-test data into a powerful presentational mapping format of the actual system performance for advanced coverage analysis. The measured signal strength values replace the predicted signal strength values in all areas where a measurement has been made to improve the accuracy of path loss predictions.

Carey Contour Analysis
- It studies the impact a new or modified site's service contour will have on the authorized contour. An alternative showing of the cumulative coverage (Carey) contour of a site or sites' contour can be also be generated to protect market ownership.

Link-Budget Analysis
- A link budget calculation is an excellent means to begin to understand the various factors involve in a communications link. It includes detailed propagation loss computations and power budget predictions on both the transmitter and receiver side. It describes the received signal level, total gains and losses, fade margins, power requirements, and balances the path between the base station and the mobile unit.

FAA / FCC Filing Services
We at Wireless Applications Corp. offer a complete FCC and FAA filing services. It includes researching, processing and overseeing each filing from conception to completion. We provide accurate and clear airspace reports in the least amount of time to support our findings about your site location.
Over the past 10 years, we have successfully filed thousands of FAA filings and FCC registrations. Our FAA service includes the initial airspace study used for gathering risk factors and filing requirements, completing and submitting the FAA 7460-1 filing form, attaching any required maps, plus tracking and updating the progress of your FAA filing. We can also provide RF engineering analysis for each filing, if needed. Our FCC services include helping you obtain an FRN (FCC Registration Number) from the FCC, file for an FCC registration or ASR (Antenna Structure Registration) number for a new or existing structure, researching, processing and overseeing the entire FCC filing process. We also assist in filing the FCC 601 form, including preparing the necessary documents and attachments, generating Carey contours and maps and completing any additional engineering analysis needed.

Microwave Design / Licensing
Our microwave team is capable of undertaking different levels of microwave design and licensing. The microwave service consists of collecting and validating site data, online search for available operating frequencies, path reliability calculations, performing keyhole and interference analysis, generating detailed terrain profiles and completing path link-budgets. We also provide full path protection services and complete microwave back haul engineering.

Site Coordination
Microwave Path Design
- We can perform reliable radio path calculations or path studies, which includes path profiles; select antenna, cable, connector, equipment and parameter settings; establish power and height requirements; calculation of path reliability level based upon a given set of path design parameters and coordinate the requested frequencies for the proposed path.

Path Profiling
- A path profile is a graphic representation of the physical features of the terrain elevation in the vertical plane containing both end points (two actual or proposed sites) of the microwave path, showing the surface of the Earth and including trees, buildings, and other microwave features such as line-of-sight connection, Fresnel zone, terrain coefficients, Earth curvature, reflection points, etc. Current terrain data available is 3-arc second. 1-arc second terrain data is available for most markets upon request.

Frequency Coordination
- The proposed microwave frequencies are inspected for availability against existing and filed microwave operators to facilitate reasonable usage of the microwave spectrum. This service includes issuing Prior Coordination Notices (PCNs), resolving interference case disputes, issuing a Supplemental Showing, necessary FCC license exhibits and FCC license filings.

Link-Budget Analysis
- Link budget is the computation of the whole transmission series. All the system parameters, such as antennas, cable, and connectors are verified from manufacturer’s specifications; the required power settings at both ends are computed; and the path is balanced and the reliability is calculated based on these inputs and other factors that affect the microwave transmission.
Back To Microwave Design Licensing
Site Coordination
- Your microwave path requires two end points for transmission. These end points could be a new free standing tower, a building or a possible co-location on an existing tower structure. Our goal is to help manage and obtain a suitable site location for your microwave path. We help analyze cost-efficiencies for each possible location plus synchronize with internal departments and outside regulatory groups (construction, site acquisition, regulatory, engineering, tower owners or land owners) to insure a cost effective implementation.
