To interact with the site's map view, the keyboard and mouse allow you to pan left, right, up, and down.

One method for panning is to hold the spacebar on the keyboard , left click the mouse , and drag.
Alternatively, you can drag the map view by holding the scroll wheel on the mouse .
Similarly, you can click the keyboard directional arrows, while the mouse cursor is focused on the map view.

Using the Site Collocation Application Cart

We have created a unique system for applying and managing your requests for collocating on our sites, in a method similar to a web merchant purchase page. The Application Cart maintains a personalized list of the requested sites, selected within the mapping tool. Any sites listed in the Search Results Tab or Map View Area Tab can be 'added' into the Application Cart. A site may also be added when viewing it in the Site Detail page.

The Application Cart Button is located in the upper right hand corner of the Information Status Frame, and users will see their cart status on this button. Upon clicking it, users may view the entire list of collocation candidates and perform a batch style submission of request. This window contains the section for entering your contact information and your required equipment, complete with templates for your common equipment choices. Users may remove sites from this list or submit it in its entirety. Application fees may apply. All submitted orders are directed to the Mobilitie customer service department. The user history of all orders can then be viewed in the Application Cart window.

ADDING SITES

Site locations can easily be added and removed from the Application Cart. When you have finished a search, the Search Results Tab will list site locations. Click on the Cart Icon corresponding to a site of interest to add it to the cart. The cart will turn red to indicate the site is currently in the cart. To delete a site location from the cart, simply click the Cart Icon again. Sites can similarly be added to the cart from the Map View Area Tab.

VIEWING YOUR APPLICATION CART

To view your cart content, click on the Application Cart Button. This will open a new window with a section to fill out your personal information before submittal. This Application Cart window also allows you to scroll through the sites you have added to the cart. Click on the Remove From Cart link to delete a site from your Application Cart.

CREATE AN APPLICATION TEMPLATE

Each site in your Application Cart has an associated application template. To create a new template for your site application, click the New Template link. This will open a blank template, which you can fill with the pertinent details for collocation. You may now save this template and assign it to individual sites for you collocation application.

ASSIGN A TEMPLATE TO A SITE

Assign a template to an individual site by selecting a template drop down menu for that site. If you do not assign a template to a site, the default template will be assigned. To assign one template to all sites, select the template in the Site Information header template drop down menu, and click the Apply To All link.

EDIT YOUR APPLICATION TEMPLATE

To edit a template, first select a template from the Site Information header template drop down menu, and then click the View/Edit Template link. Once you have edited any or all fields, a Save Changes As link will appear at the top and you can now name the changes as a new template or overwrite the old template.

Upload Multiple Search Rings

To upload multiple search rings as your search criteria, you can use the Upload Frame. Download a sample file if you would like to see an example of a multiple search ring file. To do this, open the Upload Frame, click on the Upload New tab, and again on the Excel or CSV links to download a sample. Once you have your own file formatted for upload, click the Browse button to find it, and click Next. The Upload Frame will open to a full screen view and the file will be scanned for viruses. All the necessary steps of uploading multiple search ring data are outlined at the top of the page. You will be asked various questions regarding the format of and data in your file. At any point in the process, you can click the Start Over button to clear your answers and upload again. You can also click the step icons at the top of the page to go back and change or view previous answers.

If you have multiple tabs in your excel file, you will need to select the correct tab to read from. Otherwise, just click Next, and the first question to answer is whether or not you have column titles in your file. Answer yes or no. The following step asks for the format of your lat and lon numbers. Click on the correct format. You will now be asked a series of questions as to which columns of your file are to be used for each search criteria field. Answer each question by selecting the correct column title. Once selected, a column cannot be selected again, and the column title button will turn grey. In the next step you will select a size of radius you would like to use for your search rings. The search ring will be centered at the lat and lons in your file. Click Next once you have selected the correct size of radius. In the following step, enter an upload name for your search and click the Search Us! button. This completes the upload process and the Upload Frame will retract, showing your search results on the map and in the Search Results tab. Saved uploads can be viewed in the Saved Uploads tab in the Upload Frame.

Note:

Depending on your access level, there can be a total of four Map Tool Buttons available in your version of SiteSync.

They are

(Area 'Zoom To'),

(Custom Layers),

(Layer Control),

(Marketed Coverage).

These features can be found on this on the left frame of the Map Frame.

Area 'Zoom To' Button

Clicking the button once, pulls out the 6 available user defined zoom areas, where it will stay until closed.
There are 6 defaults preloaded to gain a sense of the use and by using symbols we figure there will be another
level of memory as to what the user has programmed to the icons.

Area 'Zoom To' Menu

The last icon in this menu is for the US and simply zooms to that view, it is not re-programmable.
For programming one of the 6 other symbols, first zoom to the area you wish to have defined
(ie a city, region, build area, etc), then click the "Prog" word on the bottom of the column of symbols.
You will see the menu-like the picture to the right, pop up.
Type in your new name for the area (need to keep your mouse cursor to the entry box),
if you need to abort, hit the "Cancel" link that is now on the bottom of the column of icons.
After your have your new name, use your mouse to click a icon of choice for the assignment.
It will now be assigned to that symbol and the next time you log in or need to go back to that same area,
click your favorite one.

Custom Layers or Corporate Layers Button

Click this button to program and use Custom Layers.
Custom Layers or Corporate Layers could contain data from WAC or your company sites, wireline, DSL, WiFi, boundaries, point databases or other locations for easy reference in the tool.
If you have the Custom Layers or Corporate Layers option, you can view them
(at their governed zoom levels)

Checking the "Display" box next to the layer of choice,
then the "Go" button at the bottom.

Going into "Edit" allows for turning on the "labeling" of those dots,
boundaries, lines and various other attributes.

If the layer is considered a "Corporate" layer it means all users see it, and/or have access to it.
Custom layers can also be assigned for that "specific" user allowing only approved users in your company to view..

Use this button to manipulate custom layers.

Power Layers Menu

Checking any of these layers on, forces that layer to be displayed through out the tool (at its governed zoom levels).

Marketed Coverage Button

Use this button to program and use marketed coverage.

Marketed Coverage Power Layers Menu

For our power users, we have made easy access to Marketed Coverage with the "M" feature.
Working with our partner American Roamer, users have the ability to layer existing Marketed Coverage of PCS and Cellular carriers of the USA.

This data also shows up in our Prospectus report and as coverage patterns found in a certain area the user inputs.
Layer this data set or query in with carrier distributorships you currently use for direct sales or support.
Seats, or licenses, are a yearly fee with data being updated quarterly.

Site Location Icons

Mouse over a site location icon. The icon will either show you the site ID# or the number of sites it is representing, if more than one. Click on the site location icon to show the details of the site(s) being represented.

"Zoom Foom" Tool

This handy tool allows for instant map zoom levels at any time.
Click HOLD & DRAG this arrow left or right and the Zoom Scale Box will be showing the new distance across if or when it is released.

Zoom Scale Box

Another way to zoom is by clicking the Zoom Scale Box. It opens a longer box, showing the distance across the screen. Entering a new whole number, hit ENTER to set the map to that new zoom level.

Info Tool Button

Click this button to turn on the info mouse cursor function. Click on the map to prompt a detailed information box to appear for that specific location on the map. This box can be closed or moved. Clicking anywhere else in the map area will automatically close the info box.

Map Resolution Bar

Use this bar to add or remove layers of detail from the map view.

Custom Layers OFF Button

Click this button to turn OFF Custom Layers.

Distance Tool Button

Click this button to turn on the Distance mouse cursor function. Click on the map to choose a location A, and again to choose a location B. This prompts an information box to appear with the distance between A and B, as well as a cross-sectional view of the terrain between the two locations. This box can be closed or moved. Clicking anywhere else in the map area will automatically close the info box.

Distance Tool Pop-Up

Displays distance calculations. Click the "Show Profile" link to open up a rough path profile in the Microwave Path Info Frame.

Elevation Tool Button

Click this button to turn on the elevation mouse cursor function. Click on the map to prompt a detailed information box to appear for that specific location on the map. This box can be closed or moved. Clicking anywhere else in the map area will automatically close the info box.
